Gnu Arts Inc, located in Opelika, Alabama is a non-profit organization that operates a used bookstore - The Gnu's Room, and a literary press - Solomon & George Publishers. The Gnu’s Room has a nice selection of used books in many genres as well as new books by local and regional authors who have visited the store for readings. The Gnu's Room also provides a venue for the arts in all forms – literary, visual and performance, and offers the community a chance to participate at low or no cost. As a non-profit press, Solomon & George (S&G) Publishers has a mission of publishing work by new and established writers speaking to and preserving the life and culture of the South, and reprinting currently unavailable work important to our history.
