Soch Mental Health is a community mental health promotion initiative started by two community mental health nurses, Jasmeet Chagger (RN, BScN, MSc and Maneet Chahal-Gill (RN, BScN, MSc). SOCH in Hindi, Urdu, and Punjabi means "to think" or "a thought". As community mental health nurses, Jasmeet and Maneet truly believe that the way of combating the stigma towards mental health is to change the way our community "thinks" about mental health. SOCH Mental Health aims to empower community members to recognize and accept mental health as an essential part of their wellness through education, prevention, and building resilience. SOCH Mental Health specializes in the following culturally and linguistically appropriate mental health promotion activities: - Mental health community workshops - Mental health consultations - Anti-stigma online campaigns - Provides cultural and linguistically appropriate mental health training - Can custom design workshops to address mental health gaps in corporations.
