Our vision is to make connected farming easier and more affordable, while empowering farmers to make data-driven agricultural decisions. Our Solution: The Precision Farming as a Service (PFaaS) solution is a hybrid-cloud implementation. Slow and often disrupted internet connectivity is not uncommon in rural areas and is a significant challenge to providing data-driven capabilities to remote farm locations. The hybrid-cloud architecture framework is unique and separates itself from other industry solutions in that it is explicitly built to overcome periodic losses of connectivity by utilizing an on-premise IoT edge device. This device operates independently of the cloud-based component and provides decision-making assistance to farmers, even with intermittent internet connectivity disruptions.
