The PYA is the body for professional yacht crew. It is a not for profit association that represents the interests of crew and offers accurate, unbiased advice on certification, training, welfare, and regulation. Using the MCA -approved Service Record Book, the PYA validates sea time on yachts, essential for anyone wishing to progress their yachting career. With the support and knowledge of 30 unpaid council members, with hundreds of years of combined yachting experience, the PYA is the only organisation of its kind to act on behalf of yacht crew worldwide. The PYA attends policy meetings with MCA and other administrators to ensure that the voice of yacht crew is being fairly represented, and works hard to ensure that the future of the superyacht industry is being shaped to take into account the best interest of the people who actually live and work onboard yachts.
