Unpretentious and casual, yet 3 star graded, Nabana Lodge is conveniently situated directly on the R40, 12 km from Hazyview towards White River. Surrounded by banana farms, tranquillity reigns, enhanced by breathtaking views over the eastern escarpment. There are eight en-suite rooms, sleeping 16 people. Garden cottages are accessed from open walkways and parking is available at your room. Two cottages have inter-leading doors for easy access to children. This is the ideal base from which to explore the natural wonders and wildlife of the area. Twenty minutes or less takes you to the Kruger National Park, extreme adventure centres, a romantic boat cruise or a picnic excursion on horseback. The panorama route via Sabie, Pilgrim’s Rest and Graskop includes the Blyde River Canyon, Three Rondavels, Gods’ Window, Bourk’s Luck Potholes, Mac Mac Pools and numerous waterfalls and is a delightful day trip from here. On site, experience our hospitality in the Sportman’s Pub where locals, tourist and business travellers relax and unwind. Wi-Fi is available in all public areas. Wild Thyme Restaurant, owned by British trained Head Chef, Paul Shepheard, is a popular culinary destination, offering great meals in a casual atmosphere. An outdoor swimming pool brings respite on hot summer days. No chemicals are used in the large tropical gardens, creating a haven for little creatures and birds. Palm Swifts and bats happily co-habit the Watsonia Palm on the deck, whilst Heuglin’s Robin, Paradise Flycatcher and many more species abound. A large venue hall is available for conferences or weddings, with a capacity for catering to a maximum of 80 people. The private, smaller conference room accommodate a maximum of 12 persons and is used for training, team building or offsite business meetings.
