Western Maryland Scenic Railroad is a nonprofit 501 (c3) organization, dedicated to preserving and operating historic railroading experiences in Allegany County. The Western Maryland Scenic is a key component of regional tourism and provides a large economic impact on the region. The railroad also provides a limited capability for casual transportation and freight services. Western Maryland Scenic is based at 13 Canal Street Cumberland, Maryland.
