Since 1998 Martijn de Vrieze has been working in the IT business always with a focus on software testing and quality assurance. Over the years he has worked in quite a set of different types of companies ranging from startups, SmartHaven, to multinational corporations like eBay. In December 2010 he decided it was time for a somewhat radical change in my career path and after a 3 month sabbatical decided to head for a consultancy style job rather than working inhouse in a software manufacturing company. April first 2011 Martijn started working for Polteq Test Services, in Amersfoort. The very next day he started in his very first assignment as a test consultant, designing and implementing a test automation strategy for an online private brokerage bank. After having worked as a consultant for a steady employer for five and a half years, Martijn de Vrieze decided to take the leap and start as a freelance consultant focussed on Software Performance testing and Security testing.
