Formed in 1968, Lion Engineering was set up to support the demands of the UKCS, providing specialist machining and welding services to customers involved with the tough early years of exploration, drilling and production processes both offshore and onshore. Lion Engineering was one of the first companies to be accredited to BS 5750 known today as ISO9000 Today the company operates from 4 modern industrial units, offering a comprehensive precision machining capability, complemented by specialist welding / hardfacing facilities. £4 million investment in the last 4 years including £500k in last 6 months upgrading plant and facilities with further investment planned.
