Broward Guardian is a Medicare Accountable Care Organization(ACO) operating in southern Broward County. It currently has a contract with CMS to participate in the Medicare Shared Savings Program (MSSP). Broward Guardian is a collaboration between Memorial Health System and community primary care providers in an effort to work together to develop a more efficient health care delivery model. Through this collaboration Broward Guardian will work to align the incentives of the providers and payers and towards achieving the 3 goals of health care reform: expanding access, improving quality and controlling cost. Broward Guardian is currently contracted with 75 Primary Care Providers.
