World Editions is an international publishing house that aims to make the most important literary titles available for the greatest possible audience, in order to promote an intercultural dialogue. The company was founded in 2013 by Eric Visser, as a spin-off of independent publishing house De Geus. Since his retirement in november 2016 World Editions forms part of the Libella publishing group, a truly European publishing group based in Switzerland, France and Poland, owned by Vera Michalski-Hoffmann. Judith Uyterlinde is now publishing director since March 2017. She has twenty five years of experience In publishing and promoting translated literature, working as an acquiring editor and publisher for renowned Dutch publishinghouses such as the Busy Bee and J.M. Meulenhoff.
