It is one of the oldest and most vibrant non-profit art organizations in the country and is recognized as the cultural epicenter of St. Augustine’s Art Community. STAAA hosts juried, solo and group exhibits, lectures, workshops for adults and programs for children, walking tours, concerts, special events and more. STAAA also holds a Permanent Collection of important St. Augustine Art, including pieces by the organization’s founding members known as “The Lost Colony.” For over 50 years STAAA has produced the St. Augustine Art & Craft Festival at Francis Field. Other signature events include the Nature & Wildlife Exhibit, and the Tactile Show for the Blind, a partnership with the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind. STAAA’s award-winning TOUCH St. Augustine Braille Trail tour and the Art y Facts of Drake’s Raid exhibit offer expanded access to St. Augustine’s history through art. The St. Augustine Art Association is supported by memberships, grants, donations, fundraisers and the generosity of local sponsors and volunteers. The gallery is open free to the public with tours given daily.
