How many times have you had soap in your eyes in the shower and blindly reached for a product? Instead of shampoo – you grab the conditioner. With many packages sharing the same profile, it’s easy to make that mistake. How often have you squinted your eyes unable to read the text or the list of ingredients on the packaging because it is too small – even with glasses. You vow never to purchase that product again. The aging population is rarely considered in package design. If you have any form of vision loss, distinguishing between beauty and personal care products can be a huge challenge. And simple everyday activities we take for granted become obstacles to your independence, enjoyment and safety. All too often accessible packaging is not considered when designing products. Especially when designing luxury products where aesthetics is critical to a brand’s image and identity. CyR.U.S. is changing all that. CyR.U.S.’s raised symbols and embossed QR codes make it easy to identify products, learn about ingredients and understand usage. Right at your fingertips. We plan to make CyR.U.S. universal by 2025. In order to do that we need to enlist as many brands and industry leaders as possible. By speaking the same language, we can break down barriers.
