The Centre for Social Legal Research (CSLR) was established in 2020 with an aim to address the existing social issues and address them with a legal lens by encouraging empirical research in the field of law and policymaking and providing students across the country with a hands-on experience of the existing inequalities through the means of research. We address issues related to society by closely linking it to the nuances of law focusing on in depth-research on the diverse complexities of the societal issues, norms and the rights of the vulnerable groups by voicing the opinions of people belonging from different social groups and those who are a victim of the social stratification which exists in our society ranging from people of different communities, castes, gender, religion, persons with disabilities, transgender persons sexual minorities by emphasizing on advocacy of issues related to human, constitutional and fundamental rights, through conflict and peacekeeping strategies relevant in the international context and that of India.
