www.unimar.edu.veMargarita University is a young institution, created at the end of 1999, and was born under an organizational conception that characterizes it as an open, dynamic and flexible social system, functionally linked to a broader system (society), which constitutes its environment, willing to change, and internally articulated through functionally integrated subsystems, with specific interactions among its participants. Margarita University has adopted the systemic model as its basic management scheme. The fundamental notion of a system is simply that it is a series of interrelated parts working synergistically. Mission To graduate highly qualified professionals, with an ethical and comprehensive training, socially just, democratic and prepared to face the challenges of a reality in rapid and continuous transformation, and to provide answers to the demands faced by the community where it operates. To form leaders for the transformation of social realities, capable of acting with a critical sense, and of actively participating in the construction of a more just, open and supportive society. Contribute to the development of the island region, the Nation and the Caribbean, through research and the production of knowledge and technologies, based on regional and national priorities. Vision The University is the leading institution in the integration of regional higher education, placing itself at the forefront of programs and initiatives for ecological protection.
