Revolv is an organisation supporting emerging photographers worldwide. Co-founded in January 2017 by photographers Krasimira Butseva and Lina Ivanova, Revolv was established around the idea of collaboration and collective working. The development of the collective is rooted in challenging the idea of the artist as a solitary genius and in believing that creative development lays within collaboration. Whilst exploring common notions, the founders’ practices reinforce each other, and Krasimira and Lina have begun to work collaboratively. In 2017, they produced a joint show as part of the NIGHT festival in Plovdiv, Bulgaria and organised Archives as Medium exhibition at Four Corners gallery, London. Both shows aimed to initiate a dialogue through photographic installations with documentary, political and experimental notions. Recently, as a result of Revolv's first open call, they organised an exhibition in London, featuring 77 international and national photographers. In addition, they have been invited by galleries and educational institutions to deliver talks, portfolio reviews and collaborative workshops throughout the year.
