Established in 2015, NOPANIANS EDUCATIONAL & SERVICES TRUST (NEST) is a not for profit organization that’s based out of Kolkata. It was started by the alumnus of Shri Daulatram Nopany Vidyalaya (now known as Nopany High), with this belief that every child deserves to get an excellent education irrespective of his caste, creed, religion or financial status. NEST aims to ‘Enlighten with Knowledge’ the lives of various groups through facilitation of education to children from economically weaker section and “educationally disadvantaged” marginalized sectors of the society. We directly and indirectly support various educational projects that benefit needy students. Currently, NEST has been engaged in providing infrastructure support to various institutions and has presently undertaken an initiative of ‘Student Support Programme’ through which academically meritorious students with financial constraints receive assistance in different forms. Since its inception, the trust has promoted education mainly by way of scholarships and grants to deserving and needy students. The scholarships are given to empower students from the disadvantaged sections of our society.It is given to students belonging to lower income group families. We work to design and implement holistic learning models that aim to transform and strengthen the public schools and education system from within. We want to create an innovative space and robust ecosystem that strengthens academic learning and build leadership skills amongst students with able leadership from our members. With this in mind, we, NESTians, as a group has taken this arduous task of Nation Building through Education.
