Way back in December 1980, The Seiyu, Ltd. (now Seiyu GK) launched MUJI as a proprietary brand with 40 items. Today, the brand includes as many as 7,000 items which are sold in more than 900 stores in 30 countries and regions including Japan. Established in 1989 as the purveyor of MUJI goods, Ryohin Keikaku Co., Ltd. handles every step from the planning, development, and manufacture of MUJI goods to their distribution and sale. In August 2019, we were able to establish MUJI in Vietnam under the company name of MUJI Retail (Vietnam) LLC. Our plan is to open the first store in 2020, located in District 1.
