UIB is a leading higher education provider in Almaty and across Kazakhstan with unique profile incorporating international educational standards+knowledge with a localised practical orientation (skill-sets and know-how) allowing its graduates to pursue desired careers in government and industry. The University operates: - 24 Bachelor degrees, of which 19 are standard degrees following Ministerial norms/formats and 5 are “experimental licenses” for unique degrees developed by UIB for 2015-2016; - 11 Masters degrees; - MBA degree; - 3 PhD programmes. The programmes are operated in Kazakh, Russian, English. Bachelor degrees are 4 years in length, while Masters programmes have two modes: 1-year (“profile”) for students progressing from the same Bachelor degree and a 2-year (“pedagogic”) for student changing degrees and those wishing to pursue an academic future.
