The Resource Foundation (TRF) believes that every man, woman and child, regardless of their circumstances, has the potential to lead the life they imagine. TRF is a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that partners with corporations, foundations and individuals, and our network of more than 270 local nonprofit partners in Latin America and the Caribbean, to empower disadvantaged communities with the skills, knowledge and opportunities they need to improve their lives. TRF was founded in 1987 on the belief that local solutions to development challenges are most effective. For the past 26 years, we have been making it possible for donors to support life-changing programs in all the major development areas, including women’s empowerment, education and job skills, healthcare and HIV/AIDS, financial inclusion and capacity building. Donors rely on our regional expertise and multilingual staff to safely and securely support projects that make a difference. To date, TRF has provided more than $70 million in grants to support nearly 2,000 programs. In 2013 alone, TRF reached approximately 2 million people through 221 initiatives across the region.
