Benton-Franklin Council of Governments (BFCOG)
www.bfcog.usThe problems facing this region’s local communities cannot be effectively solved within a single city or county. Such problems require cooperative action by all local governments within a region. The function of Benton-Franklin Council of Governments (BFCOG) is to facilitate a cooperative approach to regional problem solving. Our organization serves our member municipalities and the Benton and Franklin Counties by helping our communities achieve things together that they could not do by themselves. And in all of our work we remain focused on greater regional prosperity for everyone through stronger economies, more sustainable environments, and more equitable treatment of every person in our region. By bringing people together and acting collectively to advance our region BFCG creates regionalism by helping our communities imagine their future, and then achieve it. From transportation planning to human services, to economic development to strategic regional planning, our team of professional staff work with elected officials and leaders of our member communities to provide the insight, the networks and the experience needed to catalyze new investments in jobs, to convene critical partners for a more sustainable environment, and lead our region toward a shared vision of greater prosperity.
