With 100+ staff in 6 countries, we accelerate the transition of the global food system to alternative proteins using the power of food innovation and markets. The solutions: - Plant-based meat, eggs, and dairy: Novel technologies to replicate meat taste and texture from plants. - Cultivated meat: Meat produced from animal cell cultures. - Fermentation: Harnessing microbial cell culture for food production. GFI Israel works to advance the innovation for alternative protein through three programmatic areas: 1. Corporate Engagement: we build collaborative relationships with corporations, investors, and governments to encourage more investment and innovation in plant-based and cultivated meat. 2. Science and Technology: our scientists serve as the leading experts on the cutting-edge science of animal-free meat, egg, and dairy technologies. They analyze the state of the industry, identify top research opportunities, engage scientists and engineers from academia and industry, and mobilize funding to accelerate the industry. 3. Policy: we work to secure R&D public funding for alternative proteins and ensure a focus on alternative proteins in national FoodTech initiatives. All of our services are free of charge.
