R.A.D. was founded in 2010, as an artists for artists collective and production company, much in the spirit of the Group Theater. The grand idea of R.A.D. was to bring together talented, like-minded artists, who commit, through socially conscious storytelling, to Realize their Artistic Dreams as a collective, while taking on the roles of production simultaneously. Jouri Smit set out to create a home in Hollywood for himself and other artists where their talent could be nurtured, stimulated and realized, while serving the purpose of using storytelling to spark the imagination! MISSION: R.A.D. creates and produces films of artistic integrity - shorts, features and series - that both entertain audiences and awaken them to relevant social issues.
