Peregrine Geoconsultants (Pty) Ltd was established in 2017 as a consulting engineering firm specialising in the field of geotechnical engineering. Our vision is to offer clients unsurpassed expertise to deliver innovative and effective solutions for complex problems. We place a high premium on teamwork and collaboration to ensure the best solution to our clients. Specific areas of focus are the design of lateral support and piled foundations. Additional specialist services include design of retaining structures, slope stabilisation, ground improvement, geotechnical investigations, foundation inspections as well as general geotechnical aspects of all construction and surface mining projects. We have close working relationships with other consultants and contractors to provide clients with cost-effective and practical solutions. The company currently comprises a team of two dynamic and dedicated geotechnical engineers, Vian van der Westhuizen and Louis du Plessis. Both have more than 8 years of postgraduate experience and are professionally registered engineers with ECSA. The team has vast experience in all aspects of geotechnical engineering, with many projects successfully completed in several countries across Southern Africa. We have developed a keen interest in the utilisation of geosynthetics as reinforcement in retaining structures and basal applications, ground improvement in the form of dynamic compaction, particularly Rapid Impact Compaction (RIC) as well as vast knowledge in the field of piling and lateral support. To this effect, the team has developed close working relations with contractors and manufacturers in these industries. Peregrine Geoconsultants is a Level 4 BBBEE contributor.
