Presently, there are various software tools (e.g. AutoCAD), which help an engineer to do the engineering design and create various fabrication drawings. But these tools are just similar to electronic drafting boards and nothing more than that. They don't offer any automation of design and drafting processes specific to the exact needs of a particular industry.
