IGI Holdings Limited - formerly IGI Insurance Limited, a Packages Group Company, is a public listed company and was incorporated in 1953. The Company is quoted on the Pakistan Stock Exchange Limited (PSX Symbol: IGIHL). The registered office and head office of the Company is situated at 7th floor, The Forum, Suite No. 701-713, G-20, Block 9, Khayaban-e-Jami, Clifton, Karachi. The Company also has presence in Lahore through its branch. In accordance with the Schemes of Amalgamation and Arrangement sanctioned by the Honorable Sindh High Court on December 16, 2017, IGI Investment Bank Limited amalgamated into IGI Insurance Limited. Subsequent to the amalgamation, insurance business of IGI Insurance Limited was transferred to a wholly-owned subsidiary named IGI General Insurance Limited, while certain investments of IGI Insurance Limited were transferred to another wholly-owned subsidiary named IGI Investments (Private) Limited (“IGI Investments”) and IGI Insurance Limited was renamed as IGI Holdings Limited. Accordingly, objects of IGI Holdings Limited now includes to act as an investment holding company and for that purpose invest, acquire, sell and hold the securities and financial instruments subject to compliance by relevant laws prevailing in Pakistan from time to time.
