AWZT | architecture and urban planning | Vienna (Austria) The atelier looks back upon over 30 years of continuous exposure to the topics architecture and urbanity. Important competition successes have allowed us to carry out major projects and establish a creative and committed team. Since its foundation, the atelier has taken on strategies for the future of residential spaces, urban areas, and the environment. The comprehensive topic of settlement structures, residential quarters and constructions, is one of our main tasks. The development of master plans as well as urban design and infrastructure planning – such as bridges and station areas – are also enormously important parts of our field of activity. The main concern in the planning process remains the pursuit for optimal answers to the ever-changing needs of life and work under the scope of environmentally-friendly solutions. We also feel ourselves duly obliged to respect the architectural tradition of classical modernity. Major competitive successes continue to define our scope of work: the Vienna Central Station, the Eurogate master plan, the construction of the new Vienna North Hospital as well as the new hospital Südspidol in Luxembourg and the Children and Adolescents Clinic - University of Freiburg, Germany. Through several decades of professional work and highly qualified co-workers, we have rich experience in the area of planning and implementation of construction projects in Austria and abroad. The acceptance of tasks in the field of general planning belongs to our entrepreneurial scope of work.
