Isle Of Eden
www.isleofeden.co.nzIsle of Eden was born from a frustration every Kiwi can relate to. Living directly under a hole in the Earth's ozone layer makes proper protection from the sun about as essential as snowboots in Antarctica. Unfortunately, we all know that getting hold of good sunnies can mean putting a serious dent in both your wallet and the environment. We wanted to bridge the gap between style and affordability, trends and environmental impact. We’re New Zealand-owned so we know what it means to need a good pair of sunnies that complement the individual, protect the face, and not hurt the environment. That’s why our suppliers create all of our designs in premium, sustainable acetate and wrap those designs in recycled leather and latex cases. Currently, two companies monopolise the sunglass manufacturing world - having control over materials, production costs, and, to some degree, distribution and retail branding. Isle of Eden is different. And we’re independent. Like all Kiwis, we consider ourselves perma-travelers and Isle of Eden is the product of the best parts of those adventures. We’re a family business with ties to Italy so all of our sustainable acetates come from Mazzuccheli. Our cases come from Spain. Made from recycled leather and latex fibres they’re sturdy, flexible and can stand being lost at the bottom of a bag.
