Friends of the Cancer Centre is one of the leading cancer charities in Northern Ireland working to support cancer patients and their families. Based at the heart of the Cancer Centre at Belfast City Hospital, Friends of the Cancer Centre funds life-saving and life-changing projects in the areas of research, patient comfort, patient care and equipment. Last year alone the charity invested £1.2 million in the Cancer Centre and it currently funds 38 staff throughout the hospital, including doctors, nurses and researchers. Friends of the Cancer Centre relies entirely on the generosity of its supporters across Northern Ireland to raise money to support its work in the hospital. Friends of the Cancer Centre is committed to funding projects which make a real and meaningful difference to the lives of thousands of local people affected by cancer.
