Staxxon, is a pre-revenue stage, Delaware registered, limited liability company, headquartered in Montclair, New Jersey, with engineering and development facilities located in Middletown, Ohio. Staxxon has developed and patented disruptive technology (“the Staxxon Solution”) that addresses the long-standing issue of reducing the cost of re-positioning empty, steel, ISO compliant containers used in intermodal transport. The Staxxon Solution enables empty containers to be folded horizontally (i.e. from side-to-side) and to variable widths, thereby allowing 2, 3, 4 or 5 empty containers to assume the footprint of and be handled as a single unit. This variable width folding capability hurdles a significant barrier to market adoption. This being a highly regulated industry, each and every intermodal ISO container must have affixed an official “CSC plate” to show compliance with international regulations and be individually registered with the Bureau International des Containers et du Transport Intermodal (BIC) before it may be used in international commerce.
