The Anthroposophical Society in America is a non-sectarian, non-political association devoted to furthering the cultural and social initiatives of Rudolf Steiner and the path of research and personal development which support them. It is affiliated with the General Anthroposophical Society founded in 1923 by Rudolf Steiner in Switzerland, which has national affiliates in countries around the world. Initiatives developed by Rudolf Steiner include Waldorf education, biodynamic agriculture, the movement art of eurythmy, complementary medicine, curative education, Goethean science, social threefolding, and many more. He aimed at a fundamental renewal of human culture for the global age, in order to support humanity's further evolution.
