My name is Trudy Ritsema and I am a qualified IT trainer and technology lover with over 15 years experience of teaching computers to adults. After years of working with corporate companies and in further education I went self-employed and set up “IT Courses Dorchester “ which focusses on teaching individuals and small business owners how to use their own technology. I specialise in social media and Apple products. The training may be in the form of a workshop where you learn with other people or 1-2-1 where I can come to you and we can tailor the training to your needs. 1-2-1 training is a great way to be shown specific things that need to know about your business social media accounts. I can come to your office (or kitchen table!) where we can start from scratch and I can help you set up your accounts or perhaps you need a troubleshooting session where we answer all those questions that have been niggling you about your business social media accounts. Or if you need a session on actually how to use a specific social media platform for your business we can do that too. This is £49 an hour. I run frequent workshops where you can learn with other small business owners in an informal environment. These are hands on so you bring your laptop or device and use that in the session. This means you are using the technology you are use to and your own social media accounts. Generally, the workshops focus on specific topic for example “How to make Instagram work for your business”. After either a 1-2-1 session or a workshop I offer free support via a closed group on Facebook. Here I post updates on the latest changes on social media and any information that could be relevant to your small businesses digital plan! Though this was not my intention this is also a great place to meet other local small businesses. I am based in Dorchester and am happy to travel around the lovely Dorset.
