3DUserNet is the first fully functional on-line portal for the storing, viewing, working with and sharing 3D information and projects, to harness the extraordinary power of 3D data and visualisation We have a simple goal for 3DUserNet – to democratise the use of 3D information and start a 3D revolution to increase productivity in industry. Capturing, creating and using 3D information is ubiquitous across Civil Engineering, Construction and Asset Management. It is the basis for providing rapid and highly accurate measurement data, for classic surveying tasks…… but that’s been pretty much it, which is a tragedy. We are in awe of the power of 3D information to create understanding where before there was confusion, to help project teams be far more efficient and effective in planning, training and execution. But it has been very difficult to share and has required specialist software and skills for even a limited set of tasks, so these benefits have been hard to realize and spread… that has now changed. Not only does 3D now become completely accessible to both experts and novices, 3DUserNet opens up a whole new world of ways to drive efficiency and effectiveness of organisations. We genuinely want to work with 3D users, to continue to improve what we offer and to see what impact we can make to industry as a whole. We hope you will join us in this journey. Paul.
