The Meraki Initiative is a Canadian non-profit organization led by a group of university-high school students across Canada. Meraki is a modern Greek word that means to do something with passion, soul, and creativity; it essentially means to put a part of yourself into your work. The Meraki team believes that this word symbolizes their beliefs and goals for this initiative. All members within the team are immensely passionate about creating change and establishing equity within society, and thus are routinely working on a variety of projects ranging from community volunteering to social media activism.
