Free Kick is a full colour, one-of-a-kind free publication highlighting the passion and spirit of the world’s most beloved sport. Readers can expect in-depth coverage of the game’s impact on society and individuals both locally and internationally. With our emphasis on human interest stories and having fun, Free Kick is also a fascinating read for the mainstream audience who may not identify themselves as soccer fans. Since our inaugural issue at the start of the U 20 World Cup in 2007, we have brought our readers thrilling in-depth stories and firsthand accounts from the World Cup in South Africa, the streets of India, Chinlone games in Burma and even a streaker in Vancouver. Along with our playfully styled kids section, recipes, comics and star studded interviews, we offer the chance for players to develop and test their shooting skills against our Free Kick Wall at Whitecaps matches and local tournaments. Amazingly, we also had the wonderful opportunity to give 100 children in East Vancouver the chance to meet Zinedine Zidane, one of the greatest players in history at our free 2 day camp.
