The Society of Exploration Geophysicists is one of the oldest working Student Chapters in the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. It was started in 2010 in the university campus but the roots of the Chapter are 86 years old around the globe. UPES SEG Student Chapter’s main aim is to provide education and create awareness amongst students on different practical applications of geo-informatics and geosciences in oil and gas related fields. SEG International is committed to connecting the world of applied geophysics and UPES SEG is an extension of the same, creating interest in the aforementioned fields. UPES SEG Student Chapter empowers students to participate and spearhead projects that will address issues, challenges, and opportunities related to SEG's mission of promoting the science of geophysics.
