The designer behind the brand HILDEBRANDT is Swedish born Stella Hildebrandt. Designing and making clothes has always had a place in the Hildebrandt household, as Stella grew up with an older sister and mother as interested as herself in fashion. Stella’s first brand was established in 2001 and not long afterwards she started selling her clothes in selected stores around Stockholm. She also participated in fashion events, such as Faulfest and Street Fashion weekend. The designer took a few, very much needed years off, when Stella moved to Prague, but after realizing how much she missed it, her brand is now back under her last name, HILDEBRANDT. “The brand name is personal, and it carries the memory of my beloved grandparents”. For the 2010 A W collection there is a lot of black, lace, satin and soft fabrics. “During cold days, you just want to wear something comfortable, but still look stylish. People wear sweat pants because they are comfortable, but have they ever worn a well fitted jersey dress? That’s comfortable!”
