Topics for public discussion have included: Wage equity Work/life balance Human trafficking Immigration Violence against women Sexual harassment Education Using data, we work with the Mayor’s Office and the Office of Public Engagement to make policy recommendations that promote social justice, equal rights, and economic opportunities. Established in May 2015 by a vote to amend the Home Rule Charter, the commission has 27 members. Ten of these are chosen by the Mayor, and members of City Council each select one additional member.
