Womxn of color are severely underrepresented in the legal profession, especially in positions of leadership. The National Womxn of Color Collective ("NWOCC") creates a safe space for womxn of color to grow, thrive, and connect. NWOCC is dedicated to empowering womxn of color in the legal profession at every stage of their careers by raising social awareness, hosting various networking and social events, creating mentorship relationships, and providing career and professional development services. NWOCC also seeks provide scholarship opportunities through donations received. More than that, NWOCC provides a unique opportunity for womxn of color to be supported and empowered throughout their legal careers from the time they express an interest in law, through the many stages of their education and professional employment, into retirement. The “x” in womxn is intentional. NWOCC supports womxn of color in the legal profession, no matter the race, ethnicity, or nationality.
