Our faculty practice at the region’s top facilities including the UW Medical Center, UW Medicine Eastside Specialty Clinic, North West Hospital, the VA Hospital, and Seattle Children’s Hospital. Our researchers are exploring and investigating a wide variety of topics including molecular and genetic profiles of oral cavity cancer, and vascular and lymphatic malformations. And our Staff, Residents, Fellows and collaborators are committed to carrying out our mission to provide excellence and leadership in all aspects of Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery. Our department programs were among 45 academic disciplines at UW ranked in the top 10 worldwide, according to a the most recent (2017) analysis by the Center for World University Rankings (CWUR). Audiology & speech-language pathology ranked 2nd, and Otorhinolaryngology ranked 10th. The CWUR Rankings by Subject highlights the world’s elite universities in the sciences and the social sciences, based on the number of research articles in top-tier journals.
