Cooking with Attitude. Since Marko, one of the founders of Poppamies, sold his apartment and put everything into the newly founded company, a lot has happened. From a small storage space, we’ve expanded rapidly, winning the trust of food lovers along the way: more than a million products were delivered in 2018, and over one hundred own brands were sold. But why is Poppamies so well received? What does the company motto "cooking with attitude" mean? The first thing is probably a burning interest in finding new and different flavors. It’s simply just so rewarding for us to try new stuff and bring the best findings for others to experience as well. And since all of our products are made specifically for Poppamies, you won't find the same recipes from other manufacturers. Another thing is a certain kind of uncompromised attitude towards quality. Everything is made from as fresh as possible: for example, the fruits of our apple barbecue sauce are brought to the factory fresh and not as pre-processed mush. On average, 19 products out of 20 don’t end up to market from product development because they just don’t meet our own criteria. The standards are that high. The third thing is perhaps the fact that we try to play fair. Producers at home, in Portugal and in Costa Rica are visited several times a year to check that things are done responsibly and fairly for everybody. We’ve neutralized the carbon footprint of product manufacturing in Costa Rica and arranged many aspects of the production to minimize the ecological impact. During these years of rapid growth, it’s been great to notice that so many of you share our values and beliefs. Poppamies’s success has been the success of culinary openness, as people have become more and more interested in new flavors and expanded their food territory. Therefore the thanks go to all of you who have been enjoying good tastes and good vibes with us along the way. Let's keep rolling. The world needs more cooking with attitude.
