explore.mission-innovation.net

The Green Powered Future Mission (GPFM), launched within the second phase of the global initiative Mission Innovation (MI2.0), is a public-private partnership with members from MI countries, private sector companies and international organisations. It aims to demonstrate that by 2030, power systems in different geographies and climates can effectively integrate up to 100% variable renewable energies, like wind and solar, in their generation mix, and maintain a cost-efficient, secure and resilient system. The GPFM is a 10-year endeavour which will accelerate innovation in clean energy by demonstrating innovative solutions to transform the present system. It is organised around three R&I pillars covering the whole spectrum of power system innovation needs: Pillar 1 - Affordable and reliable VRE - led by China MoST/IEECAS Pillar 2 - System flexibility and market design - led by Italy MASE/RSE Pillar 3 - Data and digitalisation for system integration - led by UK/BEIS Mission's Core Team Members: Australia, India, Saudi Arabia, Spain, IRENA, World Bank, Alperia (IT), Areti (IT), Enel Grids (IT), Icebreaker One (UK), Goldwind (CN), LONGi (CN), National Grid (UK) Mission's Support Team Members: Austria, Brazil, Canada, European Commission, Germany, Japan, Netherlands, Republic of Korea, IEA, BSI (UK), ENA (UK), GSE (IT), Terna (IT) If you would like to receive additional information about the Green Powered Future Mission, please contact: Luciano Martini - Green Powered Future Mission Director, Ricerca sul Sistema Energetico, Italy - luciano.martini@rse-web.it
