Synergy Services Alliance
www.synergyservicesalliance.orgOur mission is to creatively guiding survivors of Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence to reestablish their independence and the four self-constructs: 1) self-esteem, 2) self-confidence, 3) self-efficacy, and 4) self-congruence, by eliminating obstacles, and paving the way towards achieving success as they hit the ground running to their own unique, and purposeful goals. Our research shows that there is a gap in resources serving survivors once they have escaped their abuser. About six months to a year later, they begin to feel immensely lost, and invisible to the support system that is supposed to be there. They are no longer at risk, and so they begin to be unimportant to those collecting grants to help victims. This does not, by far, mean that they are still not at risk. They are just at a different stage of risk at this point. If they do not get back on their feet, they will potentially seek out the wrong kind of companionship, yet again. The SSA envisions a barrier-free transition for victims of Domestic & Intimate Partner Violence to redevelop their own independence and become creative, and successful survivors. We aim to remove the "trial and error" aspect of life after abuse, and help our survivors to pave the way to success and hit the ground running! To solve this problem, the SSA was created to fill this gap. The founder and president, Jessica Cassick, created an Economic Development Program (EDP) with the Co-founder, Heather Vanhoose, to solve the dilemma they both faced simultaneously. Now beginning to thrive uniquely in their lives filling multiple passions and careers, they have launched this charity to take that EDP to a whole new level as Jessica finishes her Ph.D. and studies this program for her doctoral research study. Stay tuned for further details as this charity continues to expand and grow. "There is no vanity in violence."
