He was a 1972 5th round NFL draft choice and played professional football with the Houston Oilers and the New England Patriots for four years from 1972 to 1975. Ralph played collegiately at the University of Pittsburgh where he was a two-sport All-American and All-East in football (1969, 1971) and wresting (Eastern Champion, 4th NCAA, 1969). He went to South Texas College of Law while playing with the Oilers in 1975 and started representing players in 1977. In 1988 he joined International Management Group as President of the football division for approximately three years. He returned to operate as Cindrich & Co. after IMG, then joined 5-time Super Bowl Champion owner Eddie DeBartolo’s firm as Chief Operating Officer in 2006. He serves as a consultant to DeBartolo. Ralph is a Martindale Hubbell AV Preeminent 5.0 out of 5 Peer Review Rated Attorney, the highest attorney rating. He is on the list of Pennsylvania Super Lawyers, Who’s Who, and others. His legal experience includes business law, murder trials, and Tax Court litigation. Ralph is also an expert witness; retained in notable cases as OJ McDuffie, Kory Stringer, and the David Griggs death case. He speaks at numerous Bar Association functions, law schools, and colleges. A hosting, teaching opportunity is pending in an ABA accredited summer sports law program in Florence, Italy late June of 2010 in conjunction with South Texas College of Law. A CLE Sports Law Program for attorneys is planned. He resides in Pittsburgh, Pa. with his wife of 33 years, Mary Rose, and has two children, Michael and Christina. Michael, a former D.A., now practices as a defense attorney in San Diego, Ca while, Christina, is an actress and TV News Broadcaster and Sportscaster in Boone, N.C.
