NATO Civil-Military Cooperation Centre of Excellence (CCOE)

www.cimic-coe.org

The CCOE is the champion for multinational CMI and CIMIC concepts and training & education in the context of current and future complex challenges foremost under NATO auspices. The CCOE is a multinational entity which is assisting NATO, its Sponsoring Nations and other military and civil institutions/organisations (like the UN or the European Union) in their operational and transformational efforts in the field of Civil-Military Interaction and Civil-Military Cooperation. As such the CCOE is a NATO accredited entity. This implies that NATO policy, doctrine, processes and requirements provide the platform from which the CCOE effects evolve. Additionally, the CCOE is requested to widen its perspective in the direction of multinational context beyond NATO when dealing with other stakeholders in the civil and military arena. The CCOE is the NATO custodian for the NATO CIMIC Doctrine and the CCOE is now the NATO so called NATO Department Head for CMI and CIMIC Education and Training. In this context the key process supporter for the NATO Joint Force Trainer at ACT. In this capacity the CCOE has designed and implemented an holistic CMI and CIMIC landscape and the respective training products – ranging from levelling CIMIC courses to specialist CIMIC courses – all embedded in an integrated and modular build ADL context.
