Saima Nigeria Limited was founded in 1980 jointly with Nigerian entrepreneurs as an international freight-forwarding, ship-owning company, shipping agent, and benefited from the experience and the international reputation built up by Saima Avandero in over two and a half centuries in the world of shipping. Projects have been the core business of Saima Nigeria over the years. The utmost attention and commitment have been devoted to strategic projects for development of the country such as the hydroelectric and agricultural projects, water distribution, road-building, civil engineering works and oil and gas projects. Over the last decade Saima Nigeria has embarked on a huge investment plan, upgrading the equipment and infrastructures supporting the Company’s activities, specifically inland transport, handling equipment, cargo storage and warehousing facilities, in addition to modern workshops for maintenance of the equipment. Saima Nigeria is fully outfitted to meet the market demand for heavy-lift and oversize cargo operations. Our heavy-lift fleet is equipped with new modular-hydraulic units complying with the highest standards for lifting loads up to and exceeding 1000 tons.
