Southern family Mediation was started by Louisa Dickson in 2014. Following a successful career in corporate mediation and conflict resolution, and a personal separation, she decided to move into family mediation. She realised the enormous benefits of mediation to families in conflict and realised she could bring her wealth of knowledge, compassion and experience into the mix to help others. When combined with her work as a Mediator, Child Consultant and Family Coach, it is a very powerful combination to help and support individuals and families going through the process of divorce and separation. Helping them not only to keep their head above water but to flourish and thrive. Southern Family Mediation differs from many mediation firms in that although we are fully trained and follow the strict code of practice, we believe that the family mediation process should be as warm and friendly as possible in order to put the participants at ease as much as is possible in what is a difficult and emotional situation. This isn’t just about who gets the goldfish. It is about how all the family and their relationships are at the end of the process. After all you are their parents for a lifetime. This is why our family mediators, and our mediation rooms, are warm and welcoming and our mediators put you at ease from the first moment. They are very experienced and used to dealing with a wide variety of cases and issues.
