Hawaiian Gourmet Coffee Roasters was founded in 1987 with the goal of creating an authentic coffee house experience in Haleiwa at our shop the Coffee Gallery; one that serves exceptional artisan coffee, great food, and acts as a gathering place for the unique North Shore community and visitors from the world over. We roast all our coffee by hand, because the humans are still better than the machines, in our two Diedrich roasters. Either in Coffee Gallery or at our historic Old Waialua Sugar Mill warehouse just down the road. We roast our coffee manually and in small batches to ensure quality, freshness and consistency. We believe that the art of roasting is a life long learning process and is never truly mastered. We try to keep this in mind every day as we attempt to make every batch better than the last. We constantly evaluate our coffee with all of our senses, always looking for that moment we fall in love with what we produce. And we don't sell it unless we love it. We hope you will come by and see us, talk to us, savor a cup of our coffee, and enjoy the warm Hawaii breeze and swaying palm trees with us. We know it sounds a little romantic, but the romance is all apart of the experience of true artisan coffee.
