The Public Society is a design agency dedicated to serving organizations and companies of all shapes and sizes interested in creating positive social and environmental change. Contrary to popular perception of design as an outcome – A logo. A website, or a book, etc – our practice is predicated on the belief that design should be seen as a verb, a process for understanding and solving challenges creatively that can lead to many outcomes. Some such outcomes we have created at TPS have been brands, engagement systems, websites and web platforms, games (both physical and digital), books, organizational frameworks, language systems, physical spaces, advertising, cause awareness campaigns, creative strategy frameworks, packaging, conferences, animations, and digital engagement campaigns. Our process is collaborative and participatory, based on human-centered design principles and frameworks, and born of the belief that everyone is creative and all creative voices should be engaged and elevated. Our clients are invited into our team to occupy a central, hands-on place in the development of creative work. This is, of course, only a brief snapshot but we hope it piques an interest in learning more. We’re eager to share!
