Our mission is to enrich the legal education of our members and explore new approaches to unsettled legal questions through written and oral advocacy. The NYU Law Moot Court Board offers our Staff Editors the opportunity to develop research, writing and advocacy skills that are essential to the successful practice of law. Our Casebook Editors write original moot court problems, including bench memos and lower court decisions; our Competitions Editors produce appellate briefs and argue before judges. Our Staff Editors’ training is similar to that of traditional journals – it’s the added dimensions of advocacy and creativity that preserve the Moot Court Board ‘s unique place among the honorary journals at NYU Law.
