www.trellisarch.orgTrellis Arch is a 501(c)(3) public charity founded and led by U.S. Marine Corps veterans to provide a quality education to children living in extreme poverty around the world. We believe that education is the game-changing weapon of choice in the battle against extreme poverty. Our unique projects in Haiti, India, Nepal, Uganda, and the United States remove obstacles that prevent students from pursuing their education and equip them with the tools they need to grow and thrive. Here is a snapshot of some of our projects: - Awarded a three-year nursing college scholarship to a recent high school graduate in Rayagada, India - Established a child sponsorship program in Port-de-Paix, Haiti - Installed a 2,000-gallon solar water heater at an orphanage in Kathmandu, Nepal - Provided water filters to remote villages in Nepal in the aftermath of the Ghorka earthquake - Delivered medical supplies, clothing, shoes, and school supplies to children in Port-de-Paix and Cap Haitien, Haiti - Provided shoes, clothing, and school supplies for children in Frederick, Maryland - Purchased school supplies for 90 orphans in Khemasole, India - Funded the incorporation of Hope Street Uganda and field trips to Lake Victoria for 110 homeless boys in Kampala, Uganda We are a small, agile organization - a microphilanthropy. We focus on only a few projects at a time. Our all-volunteer staff are closely connected to both our projects and our donors.
